About me
Alaina Smith is the Director of Tutoring & Learning Centers at Ozarks Technical Community College. In this role, she oversees the strategic planning and daily operations of the Tutoring & Learning Center, Carol Jones Writing Center, and Speech Communications Center. Prior to her current position, Alaina held roles at Missouri State University, including Assistant Director of Access and Success Programs and Academic Advisor/Retention Specialist, where she managed student support initiatives and developed targeted programming for first-generation and underrepresented students. She also served as Program Coordinator for the William H. Thompson Scholars Learning Community at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and began her career as a secondary English educator. Alaina holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Arkansas.
